It was quite a historical game yesterday as I watched the Seattle Sounders demolish the LA Galaxy with 60,908 of my closest friends at CenturyLink Field. Despite star players like David Beckham, the Galaxy looked like a black hole on defense and anemic on offense. The Sounders had crisp passing and great setups on the goals by Eddie Johnson, Fredy Montero, Alex Caskey and Andy Rose.
The season-high Major League Soccer crowd at CenturyLink was boisterous (though not as fanatical as a Seahawks crowd) even though many of us were baking under the hot summer sun as temperatures reached the 90s yesterday. By the end of the game, it cooled off as the sun set over the stadium. Even though the outcome of the game was obvious well before 90 minutes was up, the most of the crowd stayed until the very end of stoppage time. No doubt, domination victories like this do not come often for Seattle sports fans.
